Documentary Traces 30-Year-Voyage Of Sino-Singapore Diplomatic Relations

To mark the 30^th anniversary of Sino-Singapore diplomatic relations in 2020, a five-episode documentary, 30 Years on, China and Singapore Join Hands on New Voyage was produced by Xinhuanet and has become a big success, viewed by millions of audience domestic and abroad.

This documentary mainly focuses on Singapore and four cities in China, including Suzhou, Tianjin, Chongqing and Guangzhou, where various joint projects between China and Singapore have been launched respectively. Chronologically, the five episodes illustrate how Sino-Singapore bilateral cooperation has been advancing based on four paradigm projects, namely Suzhou Industrial Park, Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City, China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity as well as Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City. The documentary sheds some light on how Sino-Singapore cooperation mode has been transformed and upgraded under the projects, from industrialization to urbanization, and finally to sustainable development.

The documentary meanwhile takes various perspectives on bilateral economic development, mutual investment, ecological construction, global connectivity on finance, logistics, aviation and communication network as well as cultural exchanges, so as to reveal the depth and comprehensiveness of Sino-Singapore cooperation over 30 years.

As the 30th anniversary witnessed impressive achievements in all-dimentional Sino-Singapore cooperation, the documentary tries to show the world that win-win cooperation, just like the two coutries demonstrated over the past three decades, has become a trend of our times.
